Frequently Asked Questions

Q. When will you next be open for commissions?

A. Please check my Commission Status page to see what I am currently open for.

I open for commissions usually when my queue starts getting low. If you would like to be notified of the next opening, please join my telegram notification channel where I post all my updates!

I also open every Friday @ 10am (AUSTRALIAN EASTERN DAYLIGHT SAVINGS TIME) for quick sketchy in stream commissions on Picarto

Q. How long will my commission take?

A. If you have ordered a commission with me or are considering ordering a commission, my turn around time varies depending on queue size and the size of commission you order. Your commission may only take a couple of hours or a couple of days for larger works, however there may be other commissions in front of you on my queue that will need to be completed first.

It is my promise to all commissioners to never take longer than 4 months at the absolute maximum and commissioners will be informed of any major delays. As per my terms of service, if I take longer than 4 months to produce a sufficient amount of work, a refund option will be offered. (A refund will not be offered if the 4 month delay is caused by the commissioner not responding to emails, requiring extra revisions that take more time etc.)

The average turn around time for my art is 1-2 months.

I have a Public Trello queue where you can track my progress and check on your position: Public Queue

Q. What do I do if I do not have a sfw reference?

A. I will not accept NSFW references. If the only reference you have is of NSFW nature, your ref may only be accepted if it is appropriately censored. Cropped pornography will not be accepted.

Q. Will Toxi accept a text based description as a character reference?

A. Yes and No. A text based description is welcome ONLY for reference sheet commissions. However a cohesive and correct visual reference is required for all other commission types (Flat colours, chibis, icons, badges, shaded illustrations etc).

When providing a text based description for a reference sheet commission, please stick to dot point format and try to provide visuals such as photographs, mood boards, fursuit pictures, other illustrations (or even illustrations you’ve created yourself!) as aids to communicate the characters design. My order form will prompt you for most of the information I need to get started.

Q. Can we discuss my commission over telegram/Social media etc?

A. No. All commission correspondence must be relayed through email.
(The only exception is when I am streaming on Picarto - you may communicate your commission changes in the chat if I am currently working on your piece on the stream.)

You will need to be available when I am ready to work on your piece which will be during my work hours (Monday-Wednesday between 10am-6pm AEDST) to do this. Q. I need my commmission done fast! Can you do it?

A. A rush fee may incur if you require a deadline on your commission. Please contact me with the commission type you’re interested in and the deadline you require and I will be in contact with a quote for you.

UPDATE: I am not offering rush orders at this time due to an injured wrist that I can not over work.

Q. Can I commission art of my character with one of yours?

A. Art commissioned from Toxi: I would only be ok with SFW art and non-romantic scenes (most of my characters are in monogamous relationships.) that fit my characters aesthetics. You would be required to pay the multi-character charge for my character to be drawn in the piece.

Art commissions from other artists: Please ask permission first. Again- only SFW non-romantic scenes will be considered.
